I only teach a little in Glasgow at the moment as I focus on Yog-ee.com (A yoga class directory) . I teach a general Hatha yoga style with yoga props. I love to modify an asana for my students and meet the needs of their individual body. I find props support the body and take away tension. It helps students be content with where they are at with yoga. My classes are friendly and caring. I like to encourage students to try and delight in their surprise when their body and mind shows it is stronger than they expected. My teaching has changed over the years. Originally I taught an energetic Ashtanga style, then a more flowing Vinyasa style called Seasonal Yoga. I now love teaching general Hatha yoga. I have been inspired by practising an alignment style yoga myself which has truly helped me recover from a low back issue.
I complete my yoga training in 2004 with the wonderful and inspirational Julie Hanson and June Mitchell at CYS Scotland. I hold a RYS 200 hour Yoga Alliance and have taught since then. I completed the YogaBugs training for children in 2005.
I have attended many workshops and training sessions with some amazing UK and International teachers, including Paul Dallahan, Manju Jois, Seane Corn, Sue Woodd, David Keil, Michael Gannon and more recently the wonderful Sky of Samayoga. I continue with my professional development. By the end of September 2016 I will have completed an advanced anatomy training with the acclaimed Lesley Kaminoff.
I completed a Meditation Teachers Certificate in 2013 with Swami Saradananda of British Yoga Teachers Association.
