Curvy Yoga and Gentle Yoga

Enquire/book here
Picture
This style of yoga offers an affirming space for people of all shapes and sizes. This doesn’t mean the class is easy but it is gentle and accessible including the use of props to
modify and support different body needs
where helpful, so that you can benefit
from your yoga practice.
Curvy Yoga is for people who thought yoga was never for them.
Equally it is for yogi’s that would like to explore their body in relation to their practice in a different way.
Curvy Yoga is for the body you have today and helps strike a balance between effort and ease.
Come and try it and see for yourself!

As part of Mental Health Awareness week - Body Image 2019 - Yogis Lindsey Porter (of yoganuu.com) and Donna Noble (founder of CurveSomeYoga.com) came together to talk body positivity and the benefits yoga can bring.
We are also both part of the Yoga & Body Image Coalition as Community Partners.

What can folks expect when they take a class with me?
C – curious. You’ll feel encouraged to be curious about how yoga works in your own body
U – understanding. Explore more about yourself from within
R – revealed. Taking an opportunity to be present with yourself through your practice, tuning in to what is best
for your body every time you come to your yoga mat/practice
V – voyage of discovery – feel that you are on it!
Y – yoga and lots of it in many ways J
I get it, I've yoga-d my way through various different body shapes and sizes. It's a continual journey of change, finding acceptance in new places and being with the resistance you find on the way. I'd love to help support you on your journey of body acceptance wherever you are at today on your yoga mat. - Lindsey
What is my relationship with yoga
– in terms of practice and teaching?

“Keeping me real” that’s my yoga summed up in 3 words.
Yoga is my companion. My dynamic practice during the years I worked hard and played hard in the banking world helped me to download and balance. My gentle, restorative practice during pregnancy and early motherhood helped to restore inner harmony. Now, in my 40s my teaching practice encourages deeper self-exploration and inspires me to share and support others. Being able to offer yoga in a real and accessible way is hugely satisfying.
My journey continues!
